I am a selfish driver. Not in a road-hogger/stupid bugger/fucking as swipe kind of way.

I meant it in a I-won't-fetch-you way. Don't get me wrong. When I go out with friends, I actually DO drive them home if I drove there, and if it's on the way. I won't even think of saying no, because from my point of view, I would like a be able to hitch a ride home if it's on the way too. Have you took the public transport recently? Especially during peak (and even non-peak) periods!! Oh. My. God.

Anyway. This is a pointless post. I'm just saying that I am selfish cause I don't drive people around. Actually, with the type of oil prices here, I think it's not a selfish thing. I don't see Singaporeans offering to pay for parking, or chip in a little for petrol, or even treating the driver to a small meal or a drink. I'm not saying one must do something to get something but I think it is only fair and reasonable. I would. Unless it's family. When it comes to family, nothing is fair or unfair. you just do it and be happy about it cause you love them and they love you and they would do the same for you in a heartbeat too.

So, back to the point. I thought of this because I was appreciating a friend. She never assumes I'll give her a ride home although it is most certainly on the way. She never asks, or even expects one (I think). But I always give her one anyway, love her too much to throw her to the public transport system. More of my friends should be like that. I will love you all more.

On the topic of driving, I really hate the roads during weekends. I hate it so much, I sometimes contemplate taking public transport. Then I think of the crowds and people I would have to handle and decide to drive instead. But during the weekends it's like every asshole driver in Singapore come out and say "I'm an idiot, it's a boring Saturday/Sunday, let me terrorise the roads with my horrendous, inconsiderate, kayu & lousy driving!"

I can think of 3 incidents already. People who drive at 60kmh on the second lane. People who can't park for their lives and jam the carpark. People who don't signal and suddenly cut into your lane (especially on the highway). I can think of more but not like saying it will make people stop doing it.

I tidied my room today and found a $3 voucher I have no use for. Kept it anyway since it only expires end of this year. Then I thought I remembered someone I know uses that brand so that voucher can be put to good use now. Also found my graduation letter and tickets. 3 weeks too late. Found a pile of birthday cards and letters from the various memberships I own & insurances I have.

Threw away a 2013 table calendar I have never touched cause it's pretty ugly and I have no use for it anyway. Also threw away a few dried up polishes and recategorised my polishes into 2 boxes. My growing collection has stopped growing a year ago but somehow I still have many?!

Killed a huge bee-like insect by ambushing it with a large piece of tissue paper while it was bzzing on the wall. Promptly squashed it a few times and wrapped it in another piece of tissue before flushing it down the toilet.

I must be boring.

Have huge plans for the redecoration of my room. Can't be done without the downstairs study room getting freed up for the bookshelves. My dream room has a wall of shoes, a large wardrobe, a hugeass bed and a full length mirror. I aim.
